Learning to Smile

Our little Piper woke up on the right side of the crib this morning. She was so smiley we just had to capture this for you all. Her first recognizable smile was several weeks ago, but she's starting to learn to smile when she's happy. Pretty cool.

Just recently Piper has begun to enjoy using her tongue. Cool new toy, huh?

















She's also begun sucking on her middle fingers, just like her mama did as a baby.

Yesterday, Piper had her two month check up. Shockingly, she is in the 87th percentile for height. So if you're wondering what a month old baby girl in the 87th percentile looks like...this is it.

Our friend Gwen and her daughter Anna stopped by to see Piper the other day. A good time was had by all.

Grandpa and Piper enjoyed a good chat this morning.

Grandpa D in Town

Grandpa D came to town to visit Piper this weekend. And they've had a great time together.

Piper Lou and Emme Lou

Piper's friend Emme came to visit tonight. Piper was laying in Emme's old chair, which Emme was quite happy to see again.

Grandpa's Visit

Grandpa Marshall stopped in for a visit yesterday to help with some garage repairs. Piper thanked Grandpa by sticking her tongue out at him.

Weekend with the Grandparents

Grandpa and Grandma Dietmeyer came over to spend the weekend with Piper Lou. We had a great time and enjoyed the warm weather.

Aunt Margie just sent us this nice blanket, along with some other great baby (read: girl) stuff. So Piper put it to use by wriggling around on it.

Nana and a Nap

Tonight Piper took a couple of good naps with her Nana, although Piper kind of looks like she's better dressed for the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field rather than a living room lounger. Nice hood "P"!

Does it feel to anyone else like Piper's Blog posts revolve around naps, sleeping, or just lying around? We're gonna have to teach her some work ethic.

We were glad to have our friends Scott and Penny stop by to see Piper today. Don't let the yawn fool you, Piper was pretty pumped too.

We finally mailed out Piper's birth announcement yesterday, so you all should be getting them tomorrow.
